Publish a page at a link

Share one page with anyone, read-only, at a private link that only works for that page.

Publishing puts a read-only copy of one page at its own link. Anyone with the link can read it without an account; nobody can edit it, and nothing else in your account is reachable from it.

  1. Open the page and choose Share this page, beside the ⋯ menu at the top right.

  2. Choose whether to Show my name and photo on the published page.

Off by default. Your email address is never shown.

  3. Choose Publish to the web, then Copy link.

The control now reads Shared, so you can tell at a glance which pages are public.

  • Images and files on the page are published with it.
  • Links to your other pages do not work on the published copy. Their names still show, and the share menu offers to republish without them.
  • Search engines are asked not to index published pages.
  • Folders cannot be published, and moving a page to Trash takes down its link.

A published page is a snapshot, not a live view. Edits you make afterwards are not public until you choose Republish.

To stop sharing, choose Make private. Republish and Make private both stop the current link working, and republishing issues a new one, so send the new link to anyone who still needs it.
